THE ORATORY REDECORATION

In the past week or so the congregation that meets in The Oratory arranged a redecoration of our Oratory in Larne.

A slight change in wall colours.

The Oratory seats about 50/60 people. We have Sunday Mass each \sunday at 12 noon and several wedding per week.

THE POPE OF LANCASTER

Below are two recent pictures of MICKEY CAMPBELL the outgoing RC bishop of Lancaster.

He is dressed like a Tridentine bishop or pope.

CAMPBELL AS DEACON - PRIEST AND BISHOP

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

CAMPBELL IN PAPAL MITRE

WHY IS THE OUTGOING RC BISHOP OF LANCASTER STARTING TO DRESS UP AS A TRIDENTINE BISHOP WITHIN WEEKS OF HIS RETIREMENT?

HE HAS BECOME MORE AND MORE RIGHT WING DURING HIS TIME IN LANCASTER.

HE GOT THE LANCASTER JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE BECAUSE HE WAS A "PET" OF CORMAC MURPHY O'CONNOR'S

CAMPBELL IS FROM LARNE WHERE I LIVE. HIS FAMILY IS FROM HERE AND ARE AN ORDINARY WORKING CLASS FAMILY WITH MANY NORMAL ISSUES.

FROM THE FIRST TIME I MET HIM IN LARNE I DID NOT LIKE HIM. I FOUND HIM "DEEP" AND A BIT SNEAKY.

APPARENTLY, HE HAS DECIDED TO RUN A PARISH IN SCOTLAND WHEN HE RETIRES.

I HOPE THERE ARE NOT TOO MANY DIVORCED CATHOLICS AND GAY PEOPLE IN HIS NEW PARISH.

Top Vatican official: Gay sex in Vatican ‘never been worse’ than under Francis

Ed Pentin. National Catholic Register - ROME, July 11, 2017
Not only are gay-orgies happening in the Vatican, but the extent of homosexual activity in the Vatican under Pope Francis’ watch has “never been worse,” a reliable senior member of the Curia told National Catholic Register’s Ed Pentin.
Pentin wrote earlier this week that this Vatican Curia member confirmed to him that “multiple sources” within the Vatican, including another senior curial figure, say that the report of a drug-fueled gay orgy right next to St. Peter’s is true.
“He said the extent of homosexual practice in the Vatican has ‘never been worse,’ despite efforts begun by Benedict XVI to root out sexual deviancy from the curia after the Vatileaks scandal of 2012,” Pentin wrote in his report.
News recently broke of a high-ranking monsignor, Luigi Capozzi, who was allegedly arrested some two months ago in the act of hosting a cocaine-fueled homosexual orgy in an apartment of the Holy Office, the same building in which the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith operates.

At the same time of the 2012 Vatileaks scandal — where leaked confidential Vatican correspondence allegedly revealed power struggles and intrigue at the highest levels of the Catholic church — a Polish priest released a paper in which he highlighted his discovery of what he called a “huge homosexual underground in the Church.”
Fr. Dariusz Oko said he first began to do research about external threats to Christianity, but then gradually discovered that the “enemy is not only outside the Church, but within it, as well.”

Father Oko
Oko said he uncovered homosexual cliques of clergy, even at the highest levels, that are formed by fear of exposure, lust for power, and money.
“They know well, however, that they may be exposed and embarrassed, so they shield one another by offering mutual support. They build informal relationships reminding [one] of a ‘clique’ or even ‘mafia,’ [and] aim at holding particularly those positions which offer power and money,” he wrote.

“When they achieve a decision-making position, they try to promote and advance mostly those whose nature is similar to theirs, or at least who are known to be too weak to oppose them. This way, leading positions in the Church may be held by people suffering from deep internal wounds,” he added.
Oko said that once homosexual clergy achieve a “dominating position” in the Church’s hierarchy, they become a “backroom elite” with “tremendous power in deciding about important nominations and the whole life of the Church.”
Among the rumors put forward at the time of Pope Benedict’s decision to resign in 2013 was the revelation of the existence of an entrenched “gay network” that orchestrated “sexual encounters” and shady financial machinations within the Vatican. The Pope reportedly decided to resign the day he received a 300-page dossier compiled by three cardinals detailing the workings and sexual activities of a network of homosexual curial officials.

During his first Mass as Pope in April 2005, Benedict asked Catholics to pray for him that he would not flee from his office in the face of betrayal and persecution.
“Pray for me, that I may not flee for fear of the wolves,” he said at that time.
Benedict’s choice of animal was also used by the Lord in the Gospel of Matthew for describing how Christians, “as sheep in the midst of wolves,” will be persecuted, hated, and even betrayed (Matt. 10:16-22).
Christine de Marcellus Vollmer, a founding member of the Pontifical Academy for Life and president of the Latin American Alliance for the Family, said that such “disgusting behavior going on in the Vatican” indicates that the Barque of Peter with Pope Francis as steersman has gone off course.
“Evidently Paul VI was right, noticing that ‘the smoke of Satan has infiltrated the Church.’
John Paul II also knew it would take a modern-day Hercules to clean out the ‘stables,’ but he knew his charism was to teach, and to inspire a new generation with a fresh and comprehensible way to see the human person and the beauty of virtue. Cardinal Ratzinger was aware of much of the vice in the Vatican and, as Benedict XVI, undertook a proper investigation, the product of which was the 300-page report,” she added.

Benedict stated in his February 2013 announcement to step down as pope that his “strength” was “no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry,” adding that “in order to govern the barque of Saint Peter and proclaim the Gospel, both strength of mind and body are necessary.”
Vollmer said that with Benedict’s resignation, high-ranking Church leaders who were bent on “fostering heretical sexual behavior and its acceptance by the Church — otherwise known as the St. Gallen ‘Mafia,’ a group of extremely powerful old Cardinals of the 1970's generation of liberals — saw that their outworn and immoral sexual relativism was soon to be exposed as false and the cause of so much social mayhem.”
“They were also likely afraid that their own depraved private lives and questionable finances were soon to be investigated.  And so they turned the tables, managing the election of one of their own, who is fast ridding the Vatican of any who represent the ways and teaching of the popes who came before and [faithfully conveyed] Church moral Doctrine,” she said.
During Pope Francis’ watch, some of the Catholic Church’s most orthodox prelates have in one way or another been conveniently swept out of the way. Among these include Cardinal Raymond Burke and Cardinal Gerhard Muller.

Vollmer said that the time has come for “young Prelates, young priests, and young laity” formed in the true teachings of the Church as faithfully expressed by previous popes to “take steps to get the Barque of Peter back on its proper course.”
PAT SAYS:
There is NOTHING EVIL about homosexual men being priests, bishops and cardinals. Many homosexual clerics have been and are good priests.
However, the problems lie when:
1. A cleric preaches against homosexuality and is actively homosexual himself.
2. A cleric - homosexual or heterosexual - engages in sexual orgies fuelled by powerful drugs.
3.  Seminaries run by a Gay Cabal discriminate against heterosexual seminarians, make their lives impossible and drive them from the priesthood and the seminary.
4. Gay bishops give preference to gay candidate and cover up for them when they cause scandal.

Personally, I believe that a gay man can be a bishop and a priest.
Furthermore, I believe that a gay bishop or priest should be allowed to have a faithful, loving, partner.
That the Church such bless such gay unions.

However, from the Christian perspective, we have to say that predatory, promiscuous priests and seminarians - involved in drug-fuelled orgies have no place in the priesthood. They need help. They have SEXUAL ADDICTION.
Noy only is the Vatican now been run by such men - there is a worldwide problem of men with sex/drug addictions running many dioceses and seminaries.
We know that the problem (sex, not drugs ?) has existed in our own Maynooth.

We know there have been and probably are such problems in Allen Hall Seminary in London and in Oscott.
We know there are major problems in this area with Irish dioceses like Armagh, Dublin, Kerry, Meath, Galway, Derry  - and possibly every other diocese.

I am gay priest/bishop. I am in a 10 year committed partnership in which love and companionship and not sex is the defining characteristic.
But I do not want to see the Catholic Church worldwide being hijacked and taken over by a GAY MAFIA some of whom are also into drug-fuelled orgies.
The problem is SERIOUS. The problem is GETTING WORSE. The problem is right here in IRELAND.

THE GLORIOUS 12TH

THE ABOVE PICTURE OF ME AS AN ORANGE MAN WAS TAKEN FOR FUN IN THE EARLY 1990'S AND WAS PUBLISHED ON THE FRONT PAGE OF A THEN BELFAST NEWSPAPER - THE SUNDAY NEWS - for which I was a columnist from 1986.

The orange sash had been given to me by an Orange Order friend - but its appearance in the Sunday newspaper caused an uproar.

I had a solicitor's letter from the Orange Order demanding the name of THE TRAITOR who had given A ROMAN PRIEST his sacred sash.

The picture appeared in the Sunday News with the headline: THE SASH A FATHER WORE - a take on the Orange song The Sash me Father Wore.

The late Cardinal Tomas O'Fiaich used to sing The Sash as his party piece for fun.

It's very important in life to have a sense of humour. I have always had a sense of humour - indeed a mischievous sense of humour.

BUT ON A SERIOUS NOTE:

We must also acknowledge of course that the Orange Order and others were/are responsible for decades and centuries of hatred and killing in Northern Ireland. While many Republicans have blood on their hands - so do many Orangemen and Northern Protestants and Loyalists.

While we had a problem with confessional Catholicism in Ireland we had possibly an even bigger problem with extreme Protestantism in Northern Ireland.

Since the setting up of the Northern Ireland statelet in 1922 there was serious discrimination against Catholics in employment, housing etc. Northern Ireland was a "Protestant statelet for a Protestant people". The RUC was a "Protestant police force for a Protestant people".

I came to Northern Ireland in 1978 and had no experience whatsoever of sectarianism.

When I was sent to Larne in 1984 - an 87% Protestant and loyalist town, my house was attacked by two gunmen one evening. Fortunately, I was not there and that spared me.

LARNE

The next day the RUC came to my house and put bullet proof glass on all my windows and behind my doors. They also gave me a personal protection weapon - which thankfully I never had to use.

When I went to Kilkeel as a curate in 1983 I was reprimanded by a Protestant man for walking on the "Protestant side" of the main street. In Kilkeel there was a Catholic side and a Protestant side to the street.

KILKEEL

For my 18 months in Kilkel I insisted on walking on both sides of the street.

For my first few years in Larne I had my windows broken on the 11th July - bonfire night.

THINGS HAVE CHANGED:

This year I am 39 years in Northern Ireland - and I love living here.

For a start if I had been living in the Republic of Ireland at the time Cahal Daly sacked me I would have fared far more poorly. It helped me as a Catholic dissident to be living in a Protestant majority society.

In my various battles with the Catholic Hierarchy I was poorly dealt with by Catholic judges, Garda and civil servants.

And things have changed greatly here in Northern Ireland. There is far less bigotry on display here these days.

I never thought that I would see such progress in my lifetime.

There are a small number of people on both the Catholic/Nationalist/Republican side and on the Protestant/Unionist/Loyalist side keeping things going.

The vast majority in both communities want progress and peace.

Both Southern and Northern Ireland need to become modern secular democracies where neither Roman Catholicism or Protestantism have any great influence.

We are heading in the right direction.

We are well down the road.

We have some way to go.

But those of us who are not Protestant, Unionist or Loyalist still find The Glorious Twelfth uncomfortable.

We go on our holidays on the 12th or stay indoors.

The Lambeg drums beating in our streets and neighbourhoods give us an unpleasant feeling.

DIARMUID - ABSENCE - CHURCH - STATE

DERMO "NEVER AT HOME" MARTIN WAS AWAY ON ANOTHER JUNKET TRIP THIS WEEKEND - TO WURZBURG, GERMANY - TALKING ABOUT CHURCH AND STATE IN IRELAND.

He was making the point that there is great hostility in Ireland now to the Catholic Church. And so there is. There is also a growing anticlericalism.

But this hostility has not arisen because the Irish people are "bad" in any way.

It has arisen in response to a Catholic Hierarchy and clergy that has misruled Ireland for decades and centuries. We must acknowledge that many Catholic people and clergy/religious did good things here in Ireland.

But that good has been serious obscured by the emergence of so many abuse scandals by clergy and religious and by a hierarchy that covered it all up.

Apart from all the abuse scandals, many modern Irish people resent the stranglehold that the hierarchy and clergy had over our constitution, laws, social life, educational life, health service that turned Ireland into a CONFESSIONAL CATHOLIC STATE.

Not only was this bad for Catholics - but it also destroyed the Protestant population which was 12% in 1922 and quickly shrunk to 3%.

And it left the whole population subject to Roman Catholic teachings and deprived citizens of important things like family planning, divorce, contraception etc.

Many of our psychiatric wards were filled with poor individuals who not only had normal mental health problems - but those problems complicated by religious mania and chronic guilt.

And the of late we have been drowned with:

- The scandal of priests and religious abusing our children.

- The scandal of our young pregnant being locked up as permanent slaves in Catholic convents.

- The scandal of the deaths of children in Catholic-run orphanages and their burial in underground septic tanks.

- The scandal of hypocritical clerics like Eamon Casey and Michael Cleary.

- The Maynooth scandals of clerics involved in internet sex.

Quite understandable the Irish people are screaming "ENOUGH".

And they are putting the blame firmly where it belongs - on the Roman Catholic institution and its bishops, priests, brothers and nuns.

If Ireland is HOSTILE it has been driven to hostility by Diarmuid Martin & Co.

If Ireland is anticlerical it has been forced to that position by clerics without consciences, ethics and compassion.

The Roman Catholic Church must draw back and rethink its position and its practices.

It must stop expecting to be treated with favouritism .

It must stop expecting doctors, judges, lawyers, policemen, civil servants etc to be afraid of the POWER OF THE CROSIER.

Go away boys and do some reflection and penance.

Then come back to us and ask our forgiveness.

Give us back our hospitals and our schools.

And when we SEE that you have changed - we might call off our hostilities.

In the meantime remember it's not the 1950's. Ireland has changed. We are becoming a  modern 21st-century European pluralist and secular democracy.

You will not stop that procession towards democracy, pluralism and secularism.

Accept that modern reality or "GET THEE TO A NUNNERY".

Vatican gay orgy: 12 facts you need to know
From left: Capozzi,Coccopalmerio and Francis

ROME, July 6, 2017 (LifeSiteNews
A high-ranking Vatican monsignor who is a secretary to one of Pope Francis’ closest collaborators was arrested by Vatican police after they caught him hosting a cocaine-fueled homosexual orgy in a building right next to St. Peter’s Basilica.
Here are 12 facts about the scandal.
1. Vatican police arrested Monsignor Luigi Capozzi, 49, some two months ago during a raid in which he was caught in the act of hosting a cocaine-fueled gay orgy in the former Palace of the Holy Office.

2. Capozzi managed to evade suspicion from Italian police by using a BMW luxury car with license plates of the Holy See, which made him practically immune to stops and searches.

This privilege, usually reserved for high-ranking prelates, allowed the monsignor to transport cocaine for his frequent homosexual orgies without being stopped by the Italian police.

3. The Vatican-owned building in which the raid happened is currently being used by various high-ranking churchmen, including prefects, presidents, and secretaries to the Roman Curia. Police became suspicious after tenants in the building complained repeatedly about constant comings and goings of visitors to the building during all hours of the night.
4. At the time of the arrest, Capozzi was allegedly so high on cocaine that he was hospitalized for detoxification for a short period in the Pius XI clinic in Rome.

5. Despite Pope Francis’ promises of transparency and of cleaning up the Curia, not a word about the scandal has been spoken by any Vatican officials. Italian media broke the story last week after receiving inside information.
6. Capozzi was shockingly in the running to become a bishop at his boss Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio’s recommendation.
7. Capozzi is bizarrely still listed as an active staff member on the website of the Pontifical Council for the Interpretation of Legal Texts.
8. Capozzi is currently in an undisclosed convent in Italy undergoing a spiritual retreat. There has been no mention of a process of laicization for his transgressions.
Image result for priest in convent
9. Capozzi’s boss is Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, the Vatican’s top canonical official. He is one of Pope Francis’ closest collaborators and ardent supporters
10. Coccopalmerio has spoken publicly about what he has called “positive elements" in homosexual relationships. He said that while homosexual relationships are deemed “illicit” by the Church, Catholic leaders, such as himself, must “emphasize” the “positive realities” that he said is present in homosexual relationships.
11. There is speculation that Coccopalmerio knew about the gay orgies and did nothing about them.
12. Coccopalmerio has been in the vanguard of advancing Pope Francis’ makeover of the Catholic Church. This includes writing a book earlier this year that defended Francis’s 2016 Exhortation Amoris Laetitia as allowing civilly-divorced-and-remarried Catholics living in adultery as well as unmarried cohabiting Catholics living in fornication to receive Holy Communion. His book was praised by left-leaning Church leaders, such as Cardinal Blase Cupich, even though it completely contradicted clear Catholic teaching on marriage, the Eucharist, and confession.
PAT SAYS:
This is the latest Vatican scandal involving priests, drugs, cars, smuggling, money etc.
These problems are endemic in the Vatican and in the priesthood around the world.
In Ireland we've had:
Gaynooth Grindr scandal.
The Banbridge Co Down curate on cocaine.
Gorgeous and King Puck.
Barcelona holidays, hotel meals, cars, designer clothes, etc.
There are such problems in The Vatican and in every one of the 5000 dioceses in the world.
The rot is very deep and all pervading.

MASTURBATION - HEALTH - MORALITY

Image result for masturbation

To say that masturbation is always sinful - as the Catholic Church does - is absolute nonsense.

For masturbation to be a sin a believer would have to say to God: "God I have been looking for a way to offend you and I am now going to masturbate just to insult you".

"Intention" always comes into sin and morality.

The person above might as well say: "God I have been looking for a way to offend you. I am now going to eat this orange just to insult you".

Masturbation is perfectly natural and normal. That why most people do it - and why many animals do it.

Masturbation has serious health benefits - the relief of stress, prevents depression, helps prevent prostate cancer, helps prevent cervical cancer, helps self-esteem, aids sleep, a help for sexual frustration, is STD free and prevents unwanted pregnancies.

How could something with so many good benefits be a "sin" or an "evil"?

I once saw it referred to in a book I read as: Sex All Alone.

The negative connotations about masturbation come from an ancient and ignorant poor understanding of human sexuality. This ignorance was firmly adopted by religions like Judaism, Christianity, and Catholicism.

These religions had a dualism that said that the soul or spirit was the good part of man and the physical part of man - the body was evil.

This philosophy also embraced suffering as good and pleasure as evil.

There was also a thinking that said that the whole human person existed in the man's semen and that the woman only provided the "oven" that the bread was baked in.

And some went so far as to say that when a man masturbated he destroyed hundreds of thousands of human lives!

The Catholic Church that I and many others grew up in used all this STINKING THINKING to enslave and control us.

They knew that if you got people at the level of their sexuality you would literally have them "by the curlies".

As a teenager, I ran to confession all the time confessing "bad thoughts" and "impure actions" which I had been told were MORTAL SINS - often getting a sex-obsessed inquisition from a sexually frustrated priest and being told that I was "bad" and would go to hell when I died!

Thankfully in my late 30's and early 40's I did some serious work and therapy that freed me from all this madness.

I have written about all of this in a book called - A SEXUAL LIFE - A SPIRITUAL LIFE which is available on Amazon as a book and as a Kindle download.

In it I say such things as the sexual climax being a mirror of the "Beatific Vision" - that is how we feel about seeing God in Heaven.

I also say that we have every much a right to say a Grace Before and After Sex as we have to say a Grace Before and After Meals.

Even atheists - at the climax of sexual pleasure often cry out - Oh God!

We all need to get away from massive guilt about our sexuality.

We need to treasure and enjoy it as one of God's greatest gifts.

AND sex is not only for having babies.

It is also there for pleasure!

TWOSIES BEATS ONESIES:

There is no doubt that the most meaningful form of sex is between two people who love each other.

When you have this you have sex + love + intimacy.

When it is a man and a woman you can also have a beautiful baby.

Many people have told me that they found masturbation and loveless sex made them feel more lonely?

Masturbation by its very nature - unless we speak of mutual masturbation - is a solitary activity.

But sex is a very important part of most people's lives.

The lucky people have a pleasurable, meaningful and life-enhancing sexual life.
