Top Vatican official: Gay sex in Vatican ‘never been worse’ than under Francis

Ed Pentin. National Catholic Register - ROME, July 11, 2017
Not only are gay-orgies happening in the Vatican, but the extent of homosexual activity in the Vatican under Pope Francis’ watch has “never been worse,” a reliable senior member of the Curia told National Catholic Register’s Ed Pentin.
Pentin wrote earlier this week that this Vatican Curia member confirmed to him that “multiple sources” within the Vatican, including another senior curial figure, say that the report of a drug-fueled gay orgy right next to St. Peter’s is true.
“He said the extent of homosexual practice in the Vatican has ‘never been worse,’ despite efforts begun by Benedict XVI to root out sexual deviancy from the curia after the Vatileaks scandal of 2012,” Pentin wrote in his report.
News recently broke of a high-ranking monsignor, Luigi Capozzi, who was allegedly arrested some two months ago in the act of hosting a cocaine-fueled homosexual orgy in an apartment of the Holy Office, the same building in which the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith operates.

At the same time of the 2012 Vatileaks scandal — where leaked confidential Vatican correspondence allegedly revealed power struggles and intrigue at the highest levels of the Catholic church — a Polish priest released a paper in which he highlighted his discovery of what he called a “huge homosexual underground in the Church.”
Fr. Dariusz Oko said he first began to do research about external threats to Christianity, but then gradually discovered that the “enemy is not only outside the Church, but within it, as well.”

Father Oko
Oko said he uncovered homosexual cliques of clergy, even at the highest levels, that are formed by fear of exposure, lust for power, and money.
“They know well, however, that they may be exposed and embarrassed, so they shield one another by offering mutual support. They build informal relationships reminding [one] of a ‘clique’ or even ‘mafia,’ [and] aim at holding particularly those positions which offer power and money,” he wrote.

“When they achieve a decision-making position, they try to promote and advance mostly those whose nature is similar to theirs, or at least who are known to be too weak to oppose them. This way, leading positions in the Church may be held by people suffering from deep internal wounds,” he added.
Oko said that once homosexual clergy achieve a “dominating position” in the Church’s hierarchy, they become a “backroom elite” with “tremendous power in deciding about important nominations and the whole life of the Church.”
Among the rumors put forward at the time of Pope Benedict’s decision to resign in 2013 was the revelation of the existence of an entrenched “gay network” that orchestrated “sexual encounters” and shady financial machinations within the Vatican. The Pope reportedly decided to resign the day he received a 300-page dossier compiled by three cardinals detailing the workings and sexual activities of a network of homosexual curial officials.

During his first Mass as Pope in April 2005, Benedict asked Catholics to pray for him that he would not flee from his office in the face of betrayal and persecution.
“Pray for me, that I may not flee for fear of the wolves,” he said at that time.
Benedict’s choice of animal was also used by the Lord in the Gospel of Matthew for describing how Christians, “as sheep in the midst of wolves,” will be persecuted, hated, and even betrayed (Matt. 10:16-22).
Christine de Marcellus Vollmer, a founding member of the Pontifical Academy for Life and president of the Latin American Alliance for the Family, said that such “disgusting behavior going on in the Vatican” indicates that the Barque of Peter with Pope Francis as steersman has gone off course.
“Evidently Paul VI was right, noticing that ‘the smoke of Satan has infiltrated the Church.’
John Paul II also knew it would take a modern-day Hercules to clean out the ‘stables,’ but he knew his charism was to teach, and to inspire a new generation with a fresh and comprehensible way to see the human person and the beauty of virtue. Cardinal Ratzinger was aware of much of the vice in the Vatican and, as Benedict XVI, undertook a proper investigation, the product of which was the 300-page report,” she added.

Benedict stated in his February 2013 announcement to step down as pope that his “strength” was “no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry,” adding that “in order to govern the barque of Saint Peter and proclaim the Gospel, both strength of mind and body are necessary.”
Vollmer said that with Benedict’s resignation, high-ranking Church leaders who were bent on “fostering heretical sexual behavior and its acceptance by the Church — otherwise known as the St. Gallen ‘Mafia,’ a group of extremely powerful old Cardinals of the 1970's generation of liberals — saw that their outworn and immoral sexual relativism was soon to be exposed as false and the cause of so much social mayhem.”
“They were also likely afraid that their own depraved private lives and questionable finances were soon to be investigated.  And so they turned the tables, managing the election of one of their own, who is fast ridding the Vatican of any who represent the ways and teaching of the popes who came before and [faithfully conveyed] Church moral Doctrine,” she said.
During Pope Francis’ watch, some of the Catholic Church’s most orthodox prelates have in one way or another been conveniently swept out of the way. Among these include Cardinal Raymond Burke and Cardinal Gerhard Muller.

Vollmer said that the time has come for “young Prelates, young priests, and young laity” formed in the true teachings of the Church as faithfully expressed by previous popes to “take steps to get the Barque of Peter back on its proper course.”
PAT SAYS:
There is NOTHING EVIL about homosexual men being priests, bishops and cardinals. Many homosexual clerics have been and are good priests.
However, the problems lie when:
1. A cleric preaches against homosexuality and is actively homosexual himself.
2. A cleric - homosexual or heterosexual - engages in sexual orgies fuelled by powerful drugs.
3.  Seminaries run by a Gay Cabal discriminate against heterosexual seminarians, make their lives impossible and drive them from the priesthood and the seminary.
4. Gay bishops give preference to gay candidate and cover up for them when they cause scandal.

Personally, I believe that a gay man can be a bishop and a priest.
Furthermore, I believe that a gay bishop or priest should be allowed to have a faithful, loving, partner.
That the Church such bless such gay unions.

However, from the Christian perspective, we have to say that predatory, promiscuous priests and seminarians - involved in drug-fuelled orgies have no place in the priesthood. They need help. They have SEXUAL ADDICTION.
Noy only is the Vatican now been run by such men - there is a worldwide problem of men with sex/drug addictions running many dioceses and seminaries.
We know that the problem (sex, not drugs ?) has existed in our own Maynooth.

We know there have been and probably are such problems in Allen Hall Seminary in London and in Oscott.
We know there are major problems in this area with Irish dioceses like Armagh, Dublin, Kerry, Meath, Galway, Derry  - and possibly every other diocese.

I am gay priest/bishop. I am in a 10 year committed partnership in which love and companionship and not sex is the defining characteristic.
But I do not want to see the Catholic Church worldwide being hijacked and taken over by a GAY MAFIA some of whom are also into drug-fuelled orgies.
The problem is SERIOUS. The problem is GETTING WORSE. The problem is right here in IRELAND.

  2. Maynooth 2005: Gay orgies in St.Mary Sanctium. Typically 5 or 6 from the junior house in there. The room was nicknamed 'Thei Brothel'. The room's occupant had brought with him a pink velvet headboard for his bed, about two dozen cushions, plush mats and banned wearing shoes and socks in his room.

I complained to Fr Donal O'Neill about conduct and the noise that prevented sleep until after 2am/3am. Donal's reply was that maybe I "should try to be more like L O'DB". (More like the party organiser).

That seminarians stayed 4 years and had his fun. He destroyed the seminary experience for those who would not partake and for those genuinely trying to engage in formation.

I reported difficulties with Maynooth to the

      Bishop Bill Murphy,
      Bishop Ray Browne,
      Bishop John Buckley,
      Bishop William Crean,
      Bishop Michael Smith.
Bishop John McAreavy, (who interestingly said Hugh is not his responsibility when outside of Dromore).

None of these trustees wanted to act on the information I gave to them except to either ignore me or punish me for speaking up.

To be fair Hugh Connolly managed a verbal apology for getting things so wrong. But ultimately it was Dermot Farrell who was in charge when things those orgies were permitted by the director of formation Donal O'Neill. For his efforts he has been rewarded with the VG role from Bishop Smith who knows all about what happened under Dermot Farrell's watch.

    4. Come on, Arlene13 July 2017 at 13:57

There has been no discipline in Maynooth since 1966, when it ceased properly to be a seminary.

    5. 1966 was a touch of rebellion against constraint. That's a far cry from active encouragement of gay orgies and promotion of active homosexuals. In fact 1966 was but the stepping stone.

  5. Pat, a homosexual union is not in line with Christ. Stop putting your own slant on it. Yes priests can be homosexual, but they cannot act out of that tendency, similar to hetrosexual men. Christ was chatse and celibate, you are called to that also. Stop sinning and love Christ.

  8. I see the homophobic rumour-mill in the Vatican is straining itself to produce the kind of banner headlines that evoke emotional, rather than reasoned, responses.

Where is the evidence for all these lurid and sensationalist claims? And if it exists, why isn't it being used to purge the Vatican of this hedonistic filth? I don't believe it exists at all...except as homophobic Chinese whispers.

Fr Oko: I haven't seen a sliver of evidence to support his dramatic claims.

Christine Vollmer: a latter-day Mary Whitehouse with a deeply personal axe to grind against Pope Francis. Francis did not reselect her this year for the Pontifical Academy for Life, her baby, and she is seriously aggrieved at his 'snub' (hence her ridiculous and unsubstantiated claim that sexual debauchery has grown worse under his pontificate).

If there is a huge and deviant sexual subculture in the Church (and possibly in the Vatican), it concerns paedophilia, which those vile popes, the Pole and the German, went to great, anti-heroic lengths to conceal.

Bishop P., I'm surprised that you have been taken in by this homophobic nonsense. As a solicitor would say: 'Evidence. Evidence. Evidence! Don't give me claims; give me evidence!'

There is nowhere near enough evidence to justify the lurid claims made in your blog today.

  9. Magna, you are so right. Pat has encouraged the imprint of innuendo and half truths take root in people's minds before any relevant research or documentation is given to substantiate their claims. That is why this blog is a huge injustice and disservice to TRUTH. It promotes a hatred of intellectual rigour. Pat isn't interested in any view beyond his odious bias, prejudice and moral and spiritual blindness. Pat's claims indeed are lurid....

  10. Some interesting good points, Magna - - particularly about not being easily swayed by banner headlines not backed up by evidence etc (I bet those banner headlines didn't do the newspaper sales figures any harm those days!)

  11. Thank you both, 15:35 and 15:50.

Without substantiation, these claims are smoke minus fire.

I have heard some of the accusations before, especially from the conservative Polish priest and alarmist, Oko. He does not, to my mind, make even a plausible argument for his claims.

    1. Last year, Cardinal Oscar Maradiaga, a close adviser to Pope Francis, acknowledged the presence of a “gay lobby” in the Vatican and said that “little by little the Pope is trying to purify it.”
Elmar Mäder, a former commander of the Swiss Guard from 2002 to 2008, said last year "a network of homosexuals" exists within the Vatican after a series of claims about homosexual priests working in the curia. “I cannot refute the claim that there is a network of homosexuals,” he said. “My experiences would indicate the existence of such a thing," he told the Swiss newspaper Schweiz am Sonntag.
Fr. Oko is a faithful priest, what on earth does he gain from inventing news of this filth?

    2. You produce no evidence, only lurid claims.

Fr Oko prides himself on academic ability and rigorous investigative methodology. In fact, he criticised fellow Pole, Monsignor Karamsa (not sure of the spelling here) for distinctly lacking these qualities.

But have you read Oko's 2012 article? It, in places, lacks even rudimentary professionalism by relying on the worst 'investigative tool' a researcher can use: unstated assumption.

Oko is clearly pandering to a pet project in this article: his homophobia. There can be no other explanation, since the case he makes for his claim simply doesn't support it evidentially.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I most certainly am not denying Vatican corruption; regular readers of your blog know that I have frequently referred to Rome as a ***** and a 'slut'.

Two of the most corrupt figures at the Vatican in the latter end of the 20th century and early part of the 21st were, unquestionably, JPII and Benedict, both of whom knowingly protected child-abusing clerics, personally, and through Canon Law.

What I will not do is accept, at face value, sensationalist claims of a 'homomafia', or 'homolobby', or 'homosubculture' (nor any equivalent term).

Sensationalism and hyperbole go hand in hand; these screaming references seem, to me, utter exaggerations. This appears more a leap of ideology than justice: the agenda of theologically right-wing homophobes at the Vatican and elsewhere.

Justice demands substantiation for any accusation; and the demand becomes stronger the graver the charge. None has yet been provided here.

The blog reports that a 'reliable' curial official alleges that 'homosexual activity in the Vatican' has never been worse than that under Pope Francis. If he's reliable, then let him produce evidence for his allegation. Such activity would, understandly, have taken place in secret, so how could he know of it (let alone its nature and extent) unless he had been present. Reliable?

I have read Oko's article. He extrapolates from the fact that certain clerics covered up for the homosexual crimes of others that they themselves must, therefore, have been part of a self-protecting homosexual ring. However, he provides no evidence for this; just the assumption that, as some (but by no means all) of these protectors were themselves gay, their motive for covering up must have been to conceal homosexual conduct. However, both JPII and Benedict protected clerical abusers in this way. Were they homosexual?

Oko conveniently ignores the obvious and established motive for covering up here: protection of the institutional Chuch, its power and privileges. Oko is tactically diverting public attention from this disconcerting fact (and the accompanying clericalism) by scapegoating homosexuals.

    2. I have spoken personally to a number of young priests who were invited to these Vatican "parties" and attended them.

These young priests were seduced in Rome.

There is a world of difference between a homosexual and a predatory, promiscuous, orgy-going homosexual.

      Delete
    3. Bishop Pat, seduction at the Vatican, whether gay or straight, is not novel: it has nearly always been a feature of Rome's tableau (though a shady one).

These allegations, however, go further, much further, than debauched gay sex. They suggest a malevolent agenda which is using 'homosexual activity' as a means to implant 'heretical' doctrine at the centre of traditional Church teaching and as a part-reward for its acolytes. This is the Vatican's MacCarthyism, and without conclusive evidence it may be just as damaging (if not more so) as the paranoid, near-hysterical MacCarthy witchhunts of the middle-20th century.

If these things really are happening, then let those making the allegations either put up, or shut up.

    4. And be put out of priesthood, their home and their vocation?

      Easy to SAY!

      Delete
    5. Yes, easy to say. But then, easy, also, to hurt innocent and chaste homosexual priests (and non-priests) with the inevitable and indiscriminate fall-out from such lurid and unsubstantiated allegations.

In 19th century London, there was a suggestion, a fairly faint one, that a Jew might have been Jack the Ripper. Scotland Yard refused to make this evidence public, for it knew it would produce an anti-Jewish backlash. Every Jew in London, whether man, woman or child, would have become a target for the public's hatred and vengeance.

If there is clear and compelling evidence of a malevolent 'homomafia' (or whatever) at the Vatican, then bring it out. Stoking mob fury alone is neither a just nor effective way to deal with it.

But that's not the full picture of Maynooth in D. Farrell's time and there's also evidence that contadicts it.

For example, there is the well-publicized case of the seminarian expelled for sexually harrassing another seminarian and who went on to join a religious order where the apposite questions were either not asked or successfully avoided.
